PINK FLOYD

@007 good idea this thread, music appreciation is an absolute must!

To me, no one ever has, no one ever will, come close to the mastery of PINK FLOYD

Fav album is really really difficulty for me to choose since I love Dark Side of the Moon, Delicate Sound of Thunder, The Division Bell, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
Genre - ROCK (would be know as classic rock to the current generation)
IF I have to pick just one, it would have to be Dark Side of the Moon

You are correct, along with rock, it is sub-categorized as Psychedelic Rock.

@007 there is this album by Roger Waters (the lead singer of Pink Floyd till the album The Wall) called 'The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking' one of my all time fav albums, the greatness of the album is the fact that Eric Clapton plays the guitar throughout the album, on a side note I used to play this album and go to sleep in order to induce "Psychedelic" nightmares :D my fav lines from one of the songs in it is

Lyrics from - 4:41am  Sexual Revolution
Hey girl
As I've always said I prefer your lips red
Not what the good Lord made
But what he intended

The music and the poetry throughout this album is fantastic, give it a try, if you liked Dark Side of the Moon, you will definitely enjoy Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking

@007 OMG ! Black Hole Sun is by SoundGarden!!!! I love this song, was just checking out SoundGarden online and saw this as one of their tracks, I am almost sure I have heard more of their stuff, between 1991 and 1994 I was heavily into grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc).
Can you recommend some of their albums/singles ? thanks
