At least turnaround declared. Co went into profits from long drawn losses & losses only.
The results are as expected. Should be bought for long on selling. Sell at 30~31.
In the long run, everything settles at the place it deserves.

I can foresee a huge upside potential in EPCL....at least double in 1-year time !!
Do seniors or those following this script, think the same way? I have zero shares of EPCL at the moment, but thinking to buy a reasonable quantity....

i don't think it will DOUBLE, but some traders who think they have been on the sidelines (like you) may think of opening a position in it that may push the price upward but there is not much that will change for EPCL fundamentally as the plant is currently operating near max capacity. Only positive it may get will be from imposition of regulatory duty  which won't be much. Until they do not put their expansion on a fast track there is not much in it as most factors are already priced in.

I think it can settle near to 32-33 and than may start rising anticipation of good result with backing of improved margins.

Price of the raw material will go up next month, but raw material price is not the reason for it downfall. Most of it can be factored by the ongoing political instability, US statement about Pakistan and delay in announcements regarding expansion and preference share issue. And also IFC pulled out of EPCL

Engro Polymer & Chemicals: Everything that shines is not gold!  FS

Initiate with ‘Neutral” Dec-18 TP of Rs35.1/sh

·         We initiate coverage on Engro Polymer (EPCL) with a ‘Neutral’ stance based on our June-18 TP of Rs35.1/sh.  Anti-dumping protection and BS deleveraging has tilted the pendulum in company’s favor. However, we believe the company remains vulnerable to changes in core-delta (PVC-Ethylene margins), which remains beyond company’s control. Thus, appropriate risk discount factor should be incorporated in valuations, in our view. Our implied multiple suggest CY18/19 PE of 7.8/7.4x.
In the long run, everything settles at the place it deserves.
